UNIMIG U12001K VIPER 180 AC/DC TIG/STICK Welder
A perfect fit for the home workshed or the professional workshop, get the entire weld cycle on a 10A machine. The VIPER 180 AC/DC Mk II now comes in a smaller case for even greater flexibility.
Key Features
- AC/DC High-Frequency TIG
- Pulse TIG Function
- 10 AMP Plug
- Foot Control Ready
- 2T/4T Torch Modes
- Remote Control Module
Extra Features
- High-frequency AC/DC TIG lets you weld every material effortlessly
- Connect a foot pedal to the machine for extra versatility and convenience
- Use the pulse TIG features for maximum heat control
- Inverter technology: Not every inverter is made equal. With UNIMIG's ever-evolving, state-of-the-art IGBT Inverter technology, you get better performance, better efficiency, and better reliability.
- AC/DC: Weld every kind of metal. With the ability to run on an Alternating Current, you’re able to weld aluminium as effortlessly as mild and stainless steels.
- High-frequency TIG: Maximise your results from start to finish. A high-frequency torch can start an arc without contacting the workpiece, reducing the risk of contaminating the tungsten or the weld. It also means you get access to the entire TIG weld cycle, including pre- and post-gas and up and down slope parameters.
- Foot control ready: The perfect accessory, easily adjust your amperage to suit every weld as you go without disrupting your torch movement.
- 10A plug: Plug in and play. The 10A plug can be used on any domestic outlet, so it’s perfect for the DIY home handyman or the professional welder looking to take it anywhere.
- 2T / 4T / SPOT: Easily swap between torch modes so you stay comfortable no matter the length of the weld.
- 2T: (two touch) means you need to hold the trigger down on your torch while you weld. Releasing the trigger will end the weld.
- 4T: (four touch) means you only need to press the trigger to ignite the arc and the torch will continue to weld until you press it again to turn it off.
- SPOT: a series of consecutive and evenly timed arcs that work well if you want perfectly even tacks and small welds.
- Pulse TIG: Minimise the heat input without compromising on any of the penetration. Alternating between a peak and base current reduces the amount of heat input and focuses the arc, perfect for sheet metals and out-of-position welding.
- Pulse Hz range: Adjust your pulse to your preferences. Speed the pulsing up for thinner metals, or slow the pulse down to give you a better weld profile on thicker materials.
- Pulse percentage: Tweak your pulse settings to perfection. You decide how long your pulse will spend at the peak and base of each cycle. The more time spent in the peak, the more penetration you’ll get.
- Balance control: Strike the perfect balance between cleaning and penetration. The AC Balance lets you choose the optimal amount of time spent in the positive and negative parts of an AC cycle for your weld.
- AC Hz range: Fine-tune how fast your AC cycles every second. Turn your frequency up for a thinner weld, or turn it down to achieve a flatter bead.
- Arc force: Keep your arc stable for the whole weld. The arc force works to detect any short circuits in the weld and increases the current to prevent the arc from cutting out or the electrode from sticking.
- Anti stick: Never stick an electrode again. When the machine detects sticking, Anti stick will kick in, shutting off the current to keep the electrode from sticking.
