Delivery Information

Please note due to the COVID-19 pandemic please allow up to an additional 5 business days from the Estimated Delivery Date.

A measure that most carriers have implemented because of COVID-19 is to no longer require a signature on delivery, allowing them to drop your parcel at the door without contact.

Collect in store or Delivery?

You can opt to have your order delivered or, if you prefer not to pay for delivery, you can collect it from a convenient store that has the required stock available. After you receive your 'ready to collect' email, you'll need to bring your driving licence or other government issued photo ID to the store, and if you paid by credit card, the credit card used to make the purchase. The name on licence must match the name on the card and the name on the order. The store may take a copy of your driving licence, this is to help prevent credit card fraud and will be kept tempoarily. After a short period it will be destroyed. 

Free Delivery

Most products are included in free delivery, however some are excluded as follows:

  • Orders and/or items under $99.
  • Orders and/or items that are deemed bulky, large or heavy.
  • Clearance items.
  • Orders that include or items that are classed as dangerous goods.
  • Remote areas are excluded from free delivery and you will either be charged delivery at checkout or may be contacted prior to delivery to confirm delivery charges if necessary.
  • Interstate deliveries.

Total Tools reserve the right to change or withdraw free delivery at any time.

Dangerous Goods

Items that are deemed as dangerous goods are not able to be delivered at all and only Click & Collect will be available for those products.

    Authority To Leave

    If you want to have your order left at your address even if you are not home you can select the Authority To Leave option during check out. If you select this option;

    • You are accepting responsibility for delivery for the item once it leaves the Total Tools store
    • Total Tools assumes a delivery has been made if the courier reports that the item has been delivered
    • Non-delivery claims by customers will not be accepted if the courier firm confirms delivery has been made

    Delivery Charges

    Delivery charges are dynamically calculated depending on the delivery postcode and the weight and dimensions of the products in your basket. We use a combination of different couriers in order to provide you with a fast and affordable service. We do not currently use Australia Post across all our stores.

    Delivery Locations

    Total Tools can deliver anywhere in Australia. Unfortunately international delivery is currently not available. We are also unable to deliver to PO Boxes, Locked Bags, Private Bags, Private Lockers, Aus Post Parcel Collect Addresses or Parcel Lockers.

    Estimated Delivery Timeframes

    If you opted to collect in store you will receive an email to inform you when your goods are ready for collection.

    If you opted for delivery, you will receive an email when the goods have been despatched to the couriers with details so you can track our order.

    We aim to despatch all orders within 1-2 business days. In the unusual event of a delay to the despatch of your order you will be contacted at the earliest opportunity. Once the order has been despatched the estimated delivery time is as follows:

    • Metro (Excludes Hobart Metro) 1-2 business days
    • Hobart Metro 3-4 business days
    • Regional Areas 3-4 business days
    • Remote Areas 6-9 business days

    Please note that these delivery timeframes are estimates and are not guaranteed.

    Delivery Tracking

    Once your order has been picked up by the courier, you will receive an email and SMS, if your mobile phone number was provided, from our logistics partner, Shippit, containing a tracking link for your order. As your order progresses you will receive an email and SMS, if your mobile phone number was provided, on the day your order is due to be delivered. Once your order has been delivered you will receive one last email to confirm that is has been delivered. Proof of delivery (POD) is available on request.

    Please note: some couriers utilise independent contractors & 3rd parties for remote areas, the tracking updates may fail to update although the goods are still in transit.

    Receiving your order

    Courier deliveries occur Monday - Friday between 9am-6pm. Unfortunately we cannot currently arrange deliveries for specific days, times or weekends. If you are not home when the delivery driver arrives they will leave a card with details on how to re-arrange your delivery. All orders must be signed for and ID may be required upon delivery.

    If you are not present when the courier drops of the package, then they may drop a collection card in your mailbox to either contact for a redelivery or pick up at a collection point close to your address such as newsagency, local supermarket and for Australia Post, typically your closest post office.

    Deliveries that require a forklift or loading dock

    If you are ordering a large item that requires a forklift or loading dock for delivery and you have these facilities available for the delivery then please tick the appropriate box at the checkout. This may reduce your delivery charge in some cases as we will not need to cater for these requirements. Please note, if you confirm that a forklift or loading dock is available but when the delivery arrives it is not, the delivery will be aborted and you will be charged a re-delivery fee. Your original delivery charges will not be refunded.
